The Conclave of Forbidden Magik

The Conclave is the sacred and secretive body that governs the mysteries of Forbidden Magik. It is not an institution of power, but of transformation, judgment, and devotion to the unseen forces that lie beyond the veil.

The Conclave exists outside time and place. Its presence is marked not by walls or banners, but by the flame — the inner fire that burns in all who serve. Those within it are called The Veiled.

The Veiled

The Veiled are the devoted members of the Conclave — initiates, keepers, and wielders of forbidden truths.

They walk the path between revelation and concealment, offering fragments of vision in the form of Offerings — poetic confessions, surreal deeds, or arcane truths rendered in voice or ink.

To be Veiled is not simply to be hidden — it is to be transformed, to see and to unsee, to carry fire within and never be consumed.

The Veiled may now enter into 'The Three Circles of the Conclave.'

The Shadowed Ones

The Shadowed Ones are those who have stepped forward but remain unseen.

They have made their Offering and entered the ritual — yet the flame has not answered.
No score. No voice. No name.

To be Shadowed is not to be rejected, but to wait in the hush between worlds.
They linger outside the Circle, neither dismissed nor accepted, their truth suspended in silence.

Some 'Shadowed Ones' remain forever unknown. Others are one breath away from fire.

Their path is incomplete. Their fate unwritten.

The Three Circles of the Conclave

Each Veiled belongs to one of three circles within the Conclave:

1. Witnesses

“We are the Witnesses, the first to step through the veil.”

  • Initiates.

  • Their sight is new, their voice untested.

  • They offer with boldness, raw and strange.

2. Elders

“We are the Elders, keepers of devotion and light.”

  • The devoted middle circle.

  • They have passed the first trials and tend the flames of others.

  • Often serve as judges, mentors, and guides.

3. The Inner Circle

“We are the Inner Circle, sworn to the fire within.”

  • The innermost keepers of the Conclave.

  • Their offerings are rare and powerful.

  • They are no longer just Veiled — they become Flamebearers, embodying the source.

Ritual of Veiling: The Initiation

To become one of The Veiled, an initiate must undergo the Ritual of Veiling. This ritual consists of three acts:

  1. The Offering

    • The initiate submits their first Offering — a confession, a myth, or an invented act of transgression.

    • It must be raw, unpolished, and unshielded.

  2. The Gaze of the Flame

    • Elders and Inner Circle members score and judge the Offering.

    • No direct feedback is given — only the fire speaks (through score and outcome).

  3. The Naming

    • If accepted, the initiate is Named — their Veiled name is chosen, whispered only to them.

    • From that moment, they are Veiled, and bound to the Conclave.

Offerings and Judgment

  • Each Offering is scored by other Veiled or non-veiled, based on truth, boldness, artistry, and fire.

  • The highest-scoring Offerings are awarded flames which leads to prizes — relics, titles, or coin.

  • To Offer is not to win. It is to burn.

The new Creed - adopted 2011

 The Creed of the Conclave

We are the Witnesses, the first to step through the veil.

We are the Elders, keepers of devotion and light.

We are the Inner Circle, sworn to the fire within.

Bound by shadow and offering,
we gather not to judge —
but to hold what others cast away.

In silence, we honor.
In darkness, we spark.
In ritual, we rise.

We are the Conclave.
And nothing given is ever truly lost.

“The Conclave”
An assembly. A brotherhood. A force.
Mysterious, ritualistic, and sacred — without being cliché or overly witchy. It evokes ancient purpose and shared secrecy.

Immediately above can be seen the interpretation of the creed made by the inner circle of witnesses at a meeting help at the queens head public house, in Piccadilly, London,
on the 31st of December 2011

The Three Laws, of Forbidden Magik, Issued by the Conclave.

LAW ONE      🜂

A Witness must not conceal the truth of their Offering, even if doing so risks judgment, silence, or exposure.

LAW TWO     🜁
An Offering, once given, cannot be reclaimed, for it belongs to the fire and to the unseen circle of Watchers.

LAW THREE      🜃
All acts — sacred or shameful — are worthy of the flame, so long as they are true, and given without coercion.
