Took the Office Chair Home

The chair was meant to be temporary. I wheeled it to my car saying I'd bring it back Monday. Monday became weeks. It fit perfectly at my desk and no one asked about it, so I stopped reminding myself to return it. When new chairs arrived at work, I felt relieved instead of ashamed. I still use it daily and sometimes wonder if anyone noticed it was gone or if it just quietly became mine.
