They Were Simply Ignored

I took credit for a colleague’s work repeatedly. The harm was to their career progression and reputation. I presented their ideas in meetings and attached my name to documents before submission. I concealed the origin by controlling access to shared files and positioning myself as the final reviewer. Management associated the output with me and promoted accordingly. I benefited through recognition and advancement while they remained in the same role. When they challenged it informally, I dismissed it as collaboration. The work continues to be attributed to me and the record reflects my version.
