The work nobody clocks.

The word 'housewife' barely exists anymore. We're called stay-at-home mums, homemakers ' anything except workers. But the truth is, we work constantly. Some of us were educated, employed, building careers before children shifted everything. We didn't quit because we were lazy. We chose to be present. To raise children, manage homes, support families, volunteer in schools, care for relatives. There is no clock-off time. No sick pay. No applause. And sometimes, when we look tired or withdrawn, it's not laziness ' it's untreated depression. So don't say we don't work. We just don't get paid for it.
