I was looking for a cheap room in London when I found two blokes running a big photography studio with sleeping rooms tucked away at the back. The rent was fair, the only catch was you had to walk through the studio to get in and out. After a week, I realised what their equipment was worth. Lenses, lights, cameras ' thousands and thousands just sitting there. And something in me decided that temptation was the same as permission. One evening, I took most of it. That same night I got on a train north and disappeared into Glasgow. Over the next couple of weeks I sold it quietly and ended up thirty-two grand richer. The worst part? I don't regret doing it.
