While I was in hospital after a car crash, my girlfriend left me for someone else. That part hurt ' but what followed burned. The man she went to started calling me just to boast. Over and over. I stopped being angry at her and focused everything on him. From my bed I worked slowly. I found his email, cracked the security questions, read his life from the inside out. I learned who mattered to him. Then I wrote a long, careful message in his voice ' a confession that rearranged his world in a single send. I forwarded it to everyone he knew. Family. Friends. Work. I didn't watch the fallout firsthand, but I heard about it. Relationships shattered. Trust collapsed. Silence replaced the bragging. I told myself it was justice.
