The Cupboard I Locked Her In

There was a girl a year below me at school who wanted to be my friend. She followed me everywhere, laughed at things that weren't funny, tried too hard. I decided she was annoying long before I decided she was disposable. No matter how cruel I was, she kept coming back. After the school musical one night, when the corridors were almost empty, I told her I had a surprise. I blindfolded her as a joke, led her into a janitor's cupboard beside the assembly hall. I told her to stand on the toilet, then tied her wrists to a beam above her head. She trusted me completely. I walked out and went home. I don't know how long it took before someone found her. I've spent years pretending I don't care but I know exactly what I did.
