The Charity Director Scam
As finance director for eight years, I diverted donor funds meant for patient care into my personal account. I created fake invoices from "suppliers" that were actually my shell companies. When the board questioned dropping reserves, I blamed "supply chain issues." I bought a narrowboat with the money. The worst part? I volunteered at the charity shop on weekends.
