I work in a small factory where health complaints don't get solved, they get buried. When one of the older men started coughing so hard he had to lean on the machine, I saw the dust report with levels already above the legal limit. The form was right there in my hand, proof that the air was stripping his lungs shift by shift. I initialled it and shoved it into the pile no one really checks. Stopping the line would have meant losing hours, losing favour, losing money. So we kept running while he hacked himself apart.
