It Was Framed as Assistance

I initiated physical contact with clients under the guise of grounding techniques. I prolonged it and escalated when they didn’t object. I told myself it was therapeutic and documented it as consented comfort. When one client questioned it, I framed them as misinterpreting care due to trauma. Management accepted my notes. I continued with others. The role protected me because my language matched policy even when my actions didn’t.
