I Watched Them Be Destroyed

I watched rumours spread about one person and never corrected them. I knew they were false. I stayed friendly with everyone and benefited from being neutral. As the person was excluded and isolated, I told them privately not to take it personally. They eventually disappeared from the group. I stayed. The damage didn’t require action from me, just my refusal to stop it.
