I Took It While They Slept

I had sex with them while they were asleep. I knew they wouldn’t wake fully and I didn’t stop. In the morning they were distant and unsure. I told them it had been mutual and laughed it off. They accepted my version because it was easier than confronting the blank space in their memory. I didn’t check consent because checking might have ended it. We stayed together for months after. I never brought it up again.
