I Pushed Them to Breakdown

I knew they were mentally fragile and I used it. During arguments I deliberately escalated, threatened to leave, and repeated the fears they’d shared with me in confidence. I did it to keep control. When they begged me to stop, I told them they were overreacting. Eventually they broke down completely and needed outside help. I stayed and presented myself as support, knowing I had caused the collapse. They still believe I helped them through it.
