How and Why I Let a Person Die

I caused a fatal accident while driving and did not report it accurately. The person harmed was a pedestrian who died at the scene. I remained present but gave a version that shifted responsibility. I concealed my actions through calm statements and cooperation that appeared complete. The vehicle damage was consistent with my account. I avoided arrest and continued my life without restriction. The death was recorded as unavoidable and no further action was taken. I still pass the location regularly and nothing in the record contradicts me.
