The Endless, Secret Accounts

I was one of the people who targeted him online. It started on Minecraft, where he always seemed too enthusiastic, too open, too easy to get a reaction from. When someone joked that he was 'stupid,' I piled on. Then I made new accounts. Then more. I found his school from a photo he'd posted once, figured out where he walked his dog, and used it all to make the messages hit harder. Every time he blocked one username, I made another. I sent insults, lies, anything that would sting ' 'no friends,' 'loser,' 'everyone hates you.' The more frightened he seemed, the more I kept going. He told his dad. Then eSafety stepped in. Accounts disappeared one by one. I should have stopped long before that. But I didn't.
